ONE VOICE 1st Intensive, June 20 - 24, 2022, online or hybrid!




Six hours of class each day, work with guest artists, conversations with practitioners, and unlimited follow-up with course leaders

ONE VOICE is a perspective on training and performance that embraces a range of methodologies. As performers, teachers, coaches and related specialists are individually unique, they ultimately create their own ways of working. Successful completion of two intensives--a year apart--is required for certification as a One Voice Practitioner.

Course Leaders

Dr. Joan Melton is a leading researcher in cross-disciplinary performance techniques and a pioneer in the integration of singing and voice-movement training for actors. She has taught at major centers of drama and music in the US, UK, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, and is a composer and voice coach for productions in a wide range of media. She is also the author of three groundbreaking textbooks, including One Voice: Integrating Techniques across Performance Disciplines (3rd edition 2022). www.joanmelton.com

Jennie Morton is an Osteopath specializing in the treatment of performing artists, and a performance coach for dancers, instrumentalists, and professional voice users. She was on the creative team for the MSc Performing Arts Medicine at University College, London, where she is an Honorary Lecturer. Now based in LA, she is on the Board of Directors for the Dance Resource Center and provides online consulting, as well as in-person care and online courses.
